'Kapiti', Kapiti Coast - Wellington

from $90.00

‘Kapiti’ is a colourful, detailed image of the houses of Waikanae and view of beautiful Kapiti Island.

‘ I wanted to convey the feeling of dusk at Kapiti. Colour seems to be amplified and the atmosphere is serene and sumptuous. It's my favourite time of day and being a busy mum I’m quite often driving through the hills of Waikanae collecting my son from friends at this time. I love looking down onto Kapiti Island on the drive home through the gaps in houses, it's just gorgeous! The colours are always different, and always perfect.

In this image I decided to place an old Holden FB, I felt it was fitting. Stylish and charming yet a little quirky and understated. “

The original painting was completed on 300 gsm watercolour paper using watercolour paint, ink and a little acrylic paint and is currently for sale.

This limited edition Fine Art print has not been altered in any way from the original painting and has been numbered and signed by the artist.
